Ahughi nke eme, eme nke ahuru

Ama nke eme, o wu ya na-adota Uka.

Akuko a m si kam ko n’asusu igbo, o nwere ike nwe otu o ga di. Ederede a ga-awu n’asusu igbo. Ihe kpatara ya wu na kemgbe m guchara , ma lecha asusu igbo n’ulo akwukwo, ma o wughi n’okwu onu, edee otu ihe ma o wu abuo n’asusu igbo, nke ahu agaa.
Mana ugbua, a sim na-agam ede isi okwu anyi taa na igbo. N’asusu nke nne na nnam tinyere n’onum.
Ihe kpatara ya bu- ahughi nke eme, eme nke ahuru.
Ke mgbe m dewere , o dilam kam gahachi , dewa n’asusu bekee, ka mmadu nile ga agu ihea ghota ihem na-ede.
Ezi okwu wu na amaghm ihem ga-ede gbasara isi okwu ederede nke taa . O wughi nam Che ya eche, na-agaghim echeta. Mana nkea biaram na uche amasilam nke ukwu! Ihe a na akpo “autocorrect” na okwu bekee enyelam nsogbu. M si ma edee ihe, ya sim dee ihe ozo. Ekwe nti m o na kazi mu wu mmadu ihe amara ??
Ihe ozo gbatara m ji eche ikwusi ide ihea na igbo wu na, asusu igbo nwere udi di iche iche.  Olum na asu di kwa iche na iche. Ha nile awughi igbo nzugbe . E nwerem ike kwuo otu ihe na olu ndi Owerri , nke ozo na olu ndi Mbaise , nke ozo awuru olu ndi Ikeduru (ebem si). Amaghim uma asu ya otu a. O na eme. Je juo ese :p
Ihe n’agbanwoju anya wu okwu ndi ahu di iche iche marala anyi ahu isu n’asusu bekee dika- so, even, na ndi ozo, choro nno I puta na ihem na ede, Mana ajurum aju 🙂 o wughi mgbe nile ka o na-emetum na obi ide ihe n’asusu igbo. Obi oma m wu na asusu igbo nwere otutu okwu ndi wu nani otu alphabeti.

Ka I nwe ike ghota ihem koga kemgbe. Ya wuru na ikam ede igbo, obi oma akpagbuolam ebe ino. Ji si ike o Nwannem! Nga ka ikem gbara.

Indecision can bring you alot of drama.
My story today is in igbo.it might be somehow because I have not written in igbo  since the last time in secondary school. If I am not speaking igbo, I’m basically chipping in one word or two in my written conversations.
So now, I am going to write today’s theme, in the language of my mother and father.
Cant find what to do, do what is found 🙂
Since I started writing this, I have been tempted to abandon ship and write in English  so that everyone  can  understand. But the truth is, I don’t quite know what to write based on the theme. Not that if I give it a thought I would still come up blank. But I like this idea very much. My autocorrect has been suggesting words I didn’t mean. Is my phone claiming to be smarter than I the human??
Another reason I was tempted to stop writing in igbo was the difference in dialect. My Igbo tends to be a cocktail of dialects, Central igbo, Owerri dialect, Mbaise and ikeduru (where I am from). I don’t do it on purpose. It happens. Ask around.
The tricky parts are those little English words that we are used to adding to our igbo conversations, like so, even etc which have been threatening to make an appearance in my write – up. But I refused!  I’m just glad the igbo language has alot of one letter words, to aid my word count.
The good thing I can do,  because there is no way I could have possibly written 500 igbo words(I have forgotten how to say hundreds in igbo, you see??  Cry for me mahn !) this is how I hope to “keep igbo alive”??
Alright then, here is where I stop writing in igbo. Its possible I didn’t write the standard 500words in igbo. But I have a plan, which has been the plan all along,because I love you all, both the igbo speaking and non-igbo speaking igbo ones, and non igbo ones,  I will translate everything I have written to English (which I just did) so that everyone has an idea what I’m on about. If you can write igbo better than I can, I’m ecstatic for you, I swear! Well done! This is where my prowess ends.
