I honestly cannot explain the feeling of excitement.
Personally I’m not a huge fan of the harmattan season. The associated cold (as in flu), the hurting of the nose from basic breathing, I could really do without all of that.
But today, on my way home from work, having survived my favourite day of the week, it started to rain. Light rain but it smelled ever so dusty.
That dusty air associated with the harmattan and my spirit literally lit up. So bright I had to question this “unjustified” affection.
I came to conclude that it was only because it meant Christmas is close!!!!
I love Christmas. The significance of the coming our Lord and saviour, and the way the whole of the world take a break from being snots and actually being yunno, whatever it is they become at Christmas. Usually positive beings.
The official wedding season!!!! The calendar usually loses its use from the 20th of December, and everyday becomes a weekend till the new year, and only described as the event to be attended that day.
Oh the joy! of seeing these family and friends and forgetting how tedious the hustle is, and just babygirling the whole time.
Its the most wonderful time of the year!!!
